The Women’s Football Federation of India (WFFI), through its duly affiliated State and District Units, spreads women’s football to every part of the nation. These Units stand as the pillars of grassroots development, championship organization, and talent cultivation.
The Women’s Football Federation of India (WFFI) stands as the custodian of a proud national legacy in global and domestic football. Our women have twice ascended to the AFC Asian Cup finals, reigned supreme with five SAFF Championships, and earned triple gold at the South Asian Games, crowned further by the runners-up honour at the Turkish Women’s Cup 2024. Within India, the Senior Women’s National Championship and the Indian Women’s League remain the sovereign platforms for nurturing excellence and for the pathway to the National Team.

Both India's senior and U20 women's teams secured historic AFC Asian Cup berths. The U20 squad returns after 19 years, while the senior team clinched direct qualification for 2026 with a 2-1 victory over higher-ranked Thailand.
